Admission Procedure
The Degree College of Physical Education offers the following
courses in Physical Education in Technical Education. There are two
faculties namely
1) Faculty of Education (Physical
Education)
2) Faculty of Engineering and
Technology
In the faculty of education the following courses are run by the
college B.P.E. (Three years), B.P.Ed. (One year), D.Y.Ed. (One year), M.P.Ed.
(Two years), P.G.D.Y.T. (Two years) and in the faculty of Engineering and
Technology M.C.A. (Three years) course. Beside these courses the Career
Oriented Courses programme is also there which is as follows.
a. Certificate
Courses in Health Club Management, Self Defence and Aerobics for B.P.E. First
years students
b. Diploma
Courses in Health Club Management, Self Defence and Aerobics for B.P.E. Second
years students
c. Advance
Diploma Courses in Health Cub Management, Self Defence and Aerobics for B.P.E.
Third years students

Admission Process Programme Session 2007-08
B.P.E. Part -I Bachelor of Physical Education ( 3 Years)
A Physical / Motor Fitness Test on 30th
and 31st July on the Track and field of the College in proper
Sports Kit.
B Personal Interview and Verification of
Certificates will be conducted on 30th and 31st July
M.P.Ed. Part - I
Master of Physical Education ( 2
Years)
A Written Test for 50 Marks will be organized
on 16th July in Post Graduate Department of the
College. Verification of
Educational and Games and Sport Certificates and confirmation of their
assessment will be done on
17th July in Post Graduate Department of the college.
B Personal
interview will be conducted on 17th July at Post Graduate Department of the
college.
B.P.Ed. Bachelor
of Physical Education (1 Year)
A Students seeking
admission to this course should attend Physical Fitness Test on 24th,
25th and 26th July on the Track
& Field of the College in proper Sports Kit.
B Personal Interview, Verification of
certificates and its assessment will be conducted on 24th,
25th and 26th July in
D.Y.Ed. Diploma in
Yoga Education (1 Year)
A Personal interview of the candidates will be
conducted on 30th and 31st
July
P.G.D.Y.T. Part - I
Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy ( 2 Years)
A Written test for 50 marks will be conducted
30th July at the Yoga Department of
the college.
B Personal
Interview for 25 marks will be
conducted on 31st July at Yoga Dept. of the college.
The Common Entrance
test (CET) will be conducted for all courses as follows :
B.P.E. Part – I (Three Years) & B.P.Ed. (One Year)
A Physical
/ Motor fitness test includes 100 mt. run, Standing Broad Jump, Shot-Put,
200/800 Mts. Run. (200 Mt. For Women and 800 Mt.
for men). Sit-ups/Dips/Push-ups for 5 Marks each and in
total 25 Marks.
B Personal
Interview related with the candidates Attitude, Aptitude, Mental Ability, General Knowledge in Current Affairs will
be conducted for 10 marks. Common assessment will be made
by the
interviewers.
Note : Verification of Educational, Games, Sports and
other Certificates. verification and assessment will be done as per the given
conversion chart for 40 marks.
M.P.Ed. Part-I (Two Years)
A Written Test for 50 marks. This will be of
objective type test for the duration of one and a half
hours. The
content and areas of test will be .
(i) Physical
Education and Sports Psychology.
(ii) Anatomy,
Physiology of exercise, Kinesiology & Health Education.
(iii) Rules
of Games & Sports; Coaching & Training Methods.
(iv) Current
Affairs in Sports.
B Personal
Interview will be conducted to know applicants Attitude, Aptitude, Mental
ability, Personal Appearance and
knowledge in Current affairs for 10 marks. Common Assessment
will be made by interviewers.
C
Verification of certificates for confirmation of their assessment for 40
marks on the basis of
allotment of marks for selection criteria of M.P.Ed.
Part-I.
P.G.D.Y.T. (Two
Years) Part-I
A Written Test for 50 marks. This will be of
objective type in nature for the duration of one hour.
The content and areas
of test are as follows.
(i) Basic Mathematical Skills
(ii) Information about secondary school level
science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
(iii) Information about secondary school level
social science ( History, Civics, Geography and
Economics)
(iv) General Knowledge ( Health Hygiene,
Nutrition and Fitness )
B Personal
Interview will be conducted to know applicants Attitude, Aptitude, Mental ability,
Communication skills and knowledge about current affairs for 25 marks.
C
Verification of necessary documents will be done at the time of
interview.
The result of the Entrance
Test, Category wise Merit Lists of selected candidates and also category wise
waiting list of candidates will be prepared and displayed on Notice Board 18th
July for M.P.Ed. and 28th July for B.P.Ed. If seats remain vacant in M.P.Ed.
and B.P.Ed. courses in any category on non availability of eligible candidates
will be filled-up by eligible candidates of any category on the basis of Merit
Order on 30th July. The other courses B.P.E. I, D.Y.Ed. and
P.G.D.Y.T. vacant seats will be filed up on 4th Aug.

Annual Pattern courses conducted in two
session. First session starts from 18th June and there is Winter/ Diwali
holiday of 15 days after first session.
Second session starts immediately after Diwali vacation and there is long
vacation of Two months after the end of second session.
The Theory and Practical Annual Examinations are conducted by the University in
this Pattern in the month of April and May.
